Pyongyang runs on Korea Standard Time year-round — North Korea does not observe daylight saving time, so this offset never changes with the seasons. North Korea briefly ran its own separate time zone, Pyongyang Time (UTC+8:30), from 2015 to 2018 before reverting to the standard UTC+9 offset shared with South Korea and Japan as a goodwill gesture during a period of inter-Korean talks.
