Convert a time duration like 7:30 into decimal hours (7.5) for payroll and invoicing, or go the other direction from a decimal figure.
15 minutes = 0.25, 30 minutes = 0.5, 45 minutes = 0.75 — the quarter-hour marks are clean, but everything in between requires actual division (minutes ÷ 60), which is exactly where manual payroll entry tends to go wrong. 20 minutes, for instance, is 0.33 decimal hours, not the "0.20" it's easy to mistakenly write by just moving the colon.
