Since a 1955 reform, Finland's Midsummer Day always falls on the Saturday following June 19 — moving it off a fixed calendar date so Midsummer Eve reliably lands on a Friday. All Saints' Day follows the same logic, always falling on the Saturday between October 31 and November 6.
Finland doesn't move a public holiday to the nearest weekday when it falls on a Saturday or Sunday — in 2026, for instance, Midsummer Day, All Saints' Day, Independence Day, and Boxing Day all fall on a weekend and stay there rather than generating a substitute weekday off.
