Calendar days, unless your contract says otherwise

This calculates plain calendar days by default, which is the most common convention for notice periods in employment and lease agreements — but some contracts specifically require "business days" instead, which would land on a later date since weekends don't count. Check your specific agreement's wording, and use the Business Days Calculator instead if it specifies business days.

This is a date calculation, not legal advice

This tool only does the arithmetic — it doesn't know your jurisdiction's minimum legal notice requirements, your specific contract's terms, or whether your notice period even started counting on the date you think it did (some agreements start the clock from receipt, not from when notice was sent). For anything with real legal or financial stakes, confirm the actual requirement with your contract or a qualified professional.
