No Monday shifting, by design

Unlike the US, UK, or New Zealand, Sweden doesn't move a public holiday to the nearest weekday if it lands on a Saturday or Sunday — a "röd dag" that falls on a weekend is simply a weekend that happens to also be a red day, with no substitute day off. This makes the calendar simpler to compute but means the number of actual days off work varies noticeably from year to year depending on how the dates fall.

Midsummer and All Saints': deliberately "floating" Saturdays

Since a 1953 reform, both Midsummer Day and All Saints' Day were moved off fixed calendar dates and onto floating Saturdays specifically so the associated eve (Midsummer Eve, All Saints' Eve) would reliably fall on a Friday — Midsummer Day is always the Saturday between June 20 and June 26, and All Saints' Day is always the Saturday between October 31 and November 6.

The "eve" days that aren't official but function like holidays

Christmas Eve (Dec 24), Midsummer Eve, and New Year's Eve (Dec 31) are not part of the 13 statutory red days, but nearly everything closes on them anyway by long-standing custom and collective agreements — this calculator lists only the legally official 13.
