Calculator
Enter a start time and an end time, and get the exact duration — hours, minutes, and decimal hours for timesheets. Handles shifts that cross midnight automatically.
The calculator converts both times to minutes past midnight and takes the difference. If your end time is earlier in the clock than your start time — an overnight shift, like 22:00 to 06:00 — check "end time is the next day" so the duration wraps correctly instead of coming back negative.
Decimal hours are included because that's the format most timesheet and payroll software expects (7 hours 30 minutes becomes 7.5, not 7:30). For calendar-day math instead of clock-time math, see the Date Difference Calculator.
